Route generation
Plan the ride you actually want to take.
Go beyond the fastest way from A to B. RideOnIT creates point-to-point and round routes around your preferred distance, duration, and road style.
- Round trips and point-to-point routes
- Target distance or riding time
- Multiple curviness levels
- Avoid highways, main roads, or urban areas
- Save, rename, and reopen routes
- Export to Apple Maps, Google Maps, and GPX
Distance instead of the shortest shortcut
Point-to-point planning can account for a preferred total distance, allowing the ride to become more than the shortest connection to a destination. If the target is below the technically possible minimum, the shortest sensible route remains the baseline.
Round trips with direction
RideOnIT does not merely scatter arbitrary points around the start. Planning considers road characteristics, selected road types, and—where map data allows—a useful direction away from densely built-up areas.
Plan, save, and continue
Completed routes show distance and estimated duration. Save them, reopen them later, and transfer them to supported map apps for continued navigation.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create a round trip by distance?
Yes. Choose a preferred distance or ride time and RideOnIT generates a matching round route on the available road network.
Are distance and duration exact?
Both are planning estimates. Road networks, closures, traffic, map data, and the line you actually drive or ride can cause differences.
Can I open my route in another maps app?
Yes. RideOnIT supports transfer to Apple Maps and Google Maps as well as GPX export.
